A new TikTok trend has hit Henderson. It involves photographing students within the school that seem normal and uploading them to Instagram accounts dedicated to a specific purpose. Several TikTok’s dedicated to this trend are currently sitting at almost 2 million views, and they seem to only be gaining more traction.
Many of these accounts have been created here at Henderson, such as @hhs.slumberparty, an account dedicated to calling out classmates who have fallen asleep during the school day. Another is @henderson.posture, which uploads photos that highlight the bad posture of their classmates. A recent post from one of these accounts already amassed almost 40 likes after 20 minutes. They have gained mass amounts of followers in just over a week, and don’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
So how exactly are these accounts affecting the school? Well, they seem to be nothing but entertaining to the student body. People get excited when they are featured, and shout out their friends on their personal accounts when they make appearances. After a long period of disconnection, thanks to COVID-19, these accounts are bringing the school together, and rebuilding the sense of community we once cherished.
