Club Highlights: National Art Honor Society

By: Kylie Quigley

Henderson has many honor societies, among which a student can find National Art Honor Society (or NAHS) which provides a space for students to expand on their artistic nature. This club annually hosts creative events, like the pumpkin painting that just happened this last October, and art viewing opportunities, like its upcoming Senior Art Show and Coffee House. NAHS’s main goal is to help spread a love and appreciation of art. The club is run by Mrs. Hartman and Ms. Seagraves with a team of students working together as the club president, vice president, historian, treasurer, and secretary. Currently, members are planning their Coffee House event for April 29th (more details to come soon!). Coffee House is an opportunity for students to come view art, drink coffee, mingle, and listen to live music.

If you are interested in supporting NAHS, be on the lookout for their Valentine’s Day cards for sale on the 14th and their bake sale during all lunch periods on the 17th! If you want to keep up with any happenings, follow their Instagram @hendynahs!
